Martha G. Reider Derr, 77, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Hospice & Community Care of Mt. Joy.
She was born on Saturday, May 8, 1937 in Elizabethtown, PA to the late Herbert & Mabel (Good) Andrews.
She retired from Laidlaw as a school bus driver for Intermediate Unit 13.
Martha was a member of Conoy Brethren in Christ Church; she served on the church board and was a member of the bible study class. She was a member of the Elizabethtown McDonald’s Breakfast Club. Above and beyond all else Martha was a Mom and loved spending time with her large family.
She was the widow of John Everett Reider.
Surviving are her husband Harry Derr, her children Scott E. Reider and his son Colton Reider of Elizabethtown, Sheila A. Wilt and her children Jeremy & Brittany Wilt of Harrisburg, Barbara A. Derr of Mt. Joy, Judy L. Champagne of Ephrata, Mary J. Banaszak of Glen Rock, Elizabeth R. Fischer of Elizabethtown, Bob Derr of Willow Street, Leroy Derr of Elizabethtown, a brother Herbert Andrews of Mt. Joy, a sister Mabel “Dolly” Urich of Mechanicsburg, 14 additional grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many extended family members. She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Conoy Brethren in Christ Church, 1722 Bainbridge Road Elizabethtown, Pa, with Pastor Michael R. Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Cornwall Cemetery, Cornwall, PA.
Viewings will be from 2pm until 4pm on Friday, November 28, 2014 in the Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory of Elizabethtown, and from 9am until 10am on Saturday, November 29, 2014 in Conoy Brethren in Christ Church.
