Martha (Moose) Geibe

Martha (Moose) Geibe, 92, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully at the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown on Thursday, June 26, 2014.  She was born Wednesday, February 22, 1922 in Newport, PA to the late David Roy and Effie (Adair) Moose.  Her loving husband, Wilbur L. Geibe, predeceased her in 1997.

She graduated from West Chester State Teachers College and spent her 25 plus year professional career dedicated to shaping and molding young lives.  Her passion and love for teaching was spent at Mill Road Elementary School in the Elizabethtown School District.  She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Order of the Eastern Star Elizabethtown Chapter 407, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Elizabeth Hughes Society, and the Elizabethtown Historical Society.  She loved her family and adored her grandchildren beyond measure.  She will be missed by many.

She is survived by a son, William D. Geibe and wife Carol of Newtown, PA; three grandchildren, Lauren Reese, Benjamin Geibe and Alexander Geibe; two sisters, Peggy M. Crane and Carol M. Keinard; and two step-grandchildren, Benjamin and Joshua Nissim.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Marybeth Geibe Reese; a sister, Sara M. Schroll; and a brother, William R. Moose.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 1 ^st at 11:00 AM at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 125 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 with Rev. Margaret G. Kassees officiating.  Burial will follow in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.  Family and friends are invited to the church for viewing from 10:00 AM until time of the service.  Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown has been entrusted with the arrangements.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.millerfuneralhome.com
