Martha I Dixon went home to be with Jesus on October 17, 2022. She was born in Mount Holly Springs, PA to the late Joseph A and Alcesta S Miller, the youngest of ten children. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Donald L. Dixon.

She graduated from Elizabethtown High School in 1950. Martha began her career as a secretary for the American Red Cross while her husband served in the US Army. She went on to work for Carpenter's Insurance in Mount Joy,  Jake Meckley's Plumbing and Heating, Elizabethtown, John Reider's Plumbing and Heating, Elizabethtown, and Patton Masonic Home for Boys. She was also successful as an Avon lady in Elizabethtown. As the mother of a developmentally challenged daughter, Martha was very involved in Elizabethtown Area Services for the Retarded,  serving as president and chair of fundraising for many years. She organized the annual Pie Sale at Thanksgiving and Hoagie Sales during the year. She was also one of a group of parents who started Camp Lady Bug at the Elizabethtown park in 1968, which continues today. Martha was an active member at World of Life Chapel, Bainbridge, serving as a youth leader and participating in mission trips. She was an avid student of biblical prophecy.

She is survived by her sister, Grace Evelyn Rhen; daughters Valerie Oldham ( David ), Dawn, and Melanie Mattison, and two grandchildren, Iain and Elizabeth Mattison. She is also predeceased by a son, Donald L. Jr.
