Mark E. Sweigart
September 18, 1959 — December 20, 2023
Mark E. Sweigart, 64, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Hershey Medical Center. Born Friday, September 18, 1959 in Lancaster, he was the son of the late James and Evonne (Snyder) Sweigart. He was married 36 years to Linda L. (Nagle) Sweigart.
Mark was a 1977 graduate of Elizabethtown Area High School. He was employed for 39 years at Three Mile Island, retiring in 2019 as a chemistry supervisor. He was a member of the NRA and the Conewago Rod and Gun Club. Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, baking and going to his cabin. He loved to travel and after retirement, enjoy woodworking. Mark loved and was devoted to his family. He was an avid reader of books on the Civil War as well as murder mysteries and was also known to have a sarcastic sense of humor.
Surviving in addition to his wife Linda, is a son Nicholas E. Sweigart, two sisters: Cindy E. Brosey of Bainbridge and Marsha A. Sweigart of Elizabethtown, and his dog, Zoey.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
