Mark E. Leonard

Mark E. Leonard, 84, of Palmyra, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013 in the Palmyra Nursing Home. He was born Thursday, May 9, 1929 in Annville to the late Levi and Carrie (Lebo) Leonard.

He is survived by his wife Thelma Mae (Weaver) Leonard; a daughter, Karen White; 2 sons, Kevin and Keith Leonard; 2 grandchildren, Justin and Kyle Leonard; and 2 sisters Lucille Betz and Mae Smith. He is predeceased by 10 siblings.

Mark was an integral part of the Palmyra Citizens Fire Company #1 Fire Police, in which he dedicated 63 years of service and served as past president. He was a hard worker, working for Hershey Foods for 44 years, driving school bus for 27 years, and owning his own landscaping business for 17 years. He was a member of Chocolate Workers Union Local 464 and Lebanon Valley Bible Church.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 30th at 1 PM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078, with viewing from noon until time of the service. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Citizen’s Fire Co#1, 21 N. College St., Palmyra 17078.
