Mark Kurt Klepping, 53, of Elizabethtown passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 22, 2024.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Kurt and Sylvia Klepping (Jenkins). He was the husband of Jessica Klepping.

Mark was a proud and seasoned veteran of the United States Army, serving 3 tours in Iraq during his time of service. He was employed at the Elizabethtown Area School District as a Maintenance Technician. As an active member at the Elizabethtown American Legion Conewago Post # 329, former Post Commander at Elizabethtown VFW Post # 5667, as well as a member of Middletown Anglers and Hunters Association, Mark was well known in the area as a local socialite and the town's helping hand.  Mark loved hunting, sharing his knowledge of the world, and spending time with his family and friends.

Mark leaves behind his children: Nathan Mark Klepping (Amanda), Viktoria Klepping, Dean Sohnleitner, Nolan Sohnleitner, and Randee Klepping; Three grandchildren: Alexis, Amaya, and Brayden; and one Sister: Rebecca Moist (Roger).

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Nicole Sharretts.

A military honors service will be held graveside at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA on July 5th at 3:00 PM. Attending parties are to arrive in the staging parking lot no later than 2:45 PM. A celebration of life will be held at Middletown Anglers’ & Hunters’ 1350 Schoolhouse Rd, Middletown, PA 17057, following the graveside service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory in Elizabethtown.
