Marjorie “Margie” Lois Levins, 73, of New Jersey passed away June 28, 2023, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania after a brave health battle. She was the daughter of the late William R. and Lois (Mason) McFall.
After graduating from high school, she traveled through Europe with friends, raised a family, furthered her academic career, and worked as a labor and delivery/postpartum care nurse at Virtua Health (previously West Jersey Hospital) in Voorhees, New Jersey. She spent much of her working career as a Registered Nurse as well as being an entrepreneur and creating her own business designing Memory Quilts. This company was ahead of its time, transferring pictures to fabric and sewing them to beautiful heirloom quality quilts and other accessories we know many customers cherish to this day. Margie was truly a healer and “always a nurse”. It was not possible for her to resist the calling and she returned as a part-time clinical nurse and substitute school nurse after “retiring”. Margie loved to help people and be there for her friends and family by hosting and organizing social events. She appreciated the time she spent with loved ones, enjoyed decorating for the seasons/holidays, and especially loved Christmas. In her free time, she enjoyed going to the beach, dancing, and shopping (especially adding to her shoe and Santa collections).
She is survived by her children: Jami, Ryan (wife Lisa); grandchildren: Brynn, Tyler, Emersen, Asher and Max; and a sister Merle. She is preceded in death by her brother Bill McFall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Margie’s memory may be made to a hospice organization of your preference. Margie and her family were served well by a number of hospice organizations during her health struggle in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Their role in caring for our terminal ill and their families is a blessing.
