Marion Esther (Coppenhaver) Heatwole

Marion Esther Heatwole (née Coppenhaver), 88, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Traditions of Hershey, Palmyra. She was born on Thursday, December 12, 1935 to the late Betty Angelo. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Daniel Heatwole, February of 2005.

Marion and her late husband enjoyed traveling and did so extensively in their RV around the US. They also visited many places in Europe, Asia, and other destinations around the world. Later she joined the Ariba Club to continue her travel with friends. Marion enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Palmyra Garden Club, often helping and participating in their annual flower show. She also joined her local Red Hats and enjoyed dining out and going to concerts.

For over fifty years she was an active member of the congregation at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

She is survived by her son, Robert Coppenhaver (wife Sophie); sister-in-law, Brenda Coppenhaver; nephew, John Coppenhaver III; niece, Jennifer Coppenhaver; cousins, Eddie Ponessa (wife Debbie), Jimmy Ponessa and their families. She is predeceased by her brother, John Coppenhaver.

A mass and burial will be held on Monday, November 4th at 11:00am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 300 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 2nd from 3:00-4:30pm at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078.

In lieu of flowers memorial folders can be made in her memory to the Dementia Society of America, 188 N. Main St., Doylestown, PA 18901.
