Marion M. (Sentz) Garber

Marion M. Garber passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on December 28th, 2016 at the Signature Senior Care in Lititz, Pa.

Marion was born on September 9, 1932 in Mount Joy, Pa.  She was the only child of the late Mabel Drescher Sentz and the late Luther  T. Sentz.  Marion grew up in the Salem United Zion Church in Manheim.  She graduated from Manheim High School in 1950, and from Lebanon Valley College in 1954.  After teaching music for 2 years, Marion married E. Ralph Garber on New Year’s Eve.  They have been married 61 years.

For many years, Ralph and Marion attended Congregational Mennonite Church (now Community Bible Church) in Marietta, Pa, where Marion was very involved with various music ministries throughout the years.  Marion also sang and provided organ and piano music for many weddings.  One of her great joys was being part of the Crusade for Christ hour radio broadcast as well as singing with the Trebleaires trio.  Marion loved her Lord, her family, and her music.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons:  Steve, husband of Beverly Garber; John, husband of Marcia Garber and Joe, husband of Amy Garber.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Mount Calvary Church, 625 Holly Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022 with Wilmer Longenecker officiating.  A time of visitation will be held from 1:30-2 PM at the church on Sunday.  Private Interment was in Chiques Hill Cemetery, Manheim, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022, 717-367-1543.
