Marion J. Black, 90, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born Sunday, January 14, 1934 in Mount Joy, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Beulah (Stoudt) Smith. She was married 61 years to Stanley S. Black, Jr. who passed away in November 2015.
Marion was a graduate of Donegal High School. She and her late husband were very involved in numerous Masonic activities. Marion was known for baking pies, specifically her apple pie. She loved being around people, especially her friends and family.
She is survived by her son Kevin T. Black and wife Jodi; two grandchildren: Jeremy E. Black and wife Miranda, and Savannah M. Black; two great grandchildren Lilah and Flynn, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Marion is predeceased by her eldest son Stanley M. “Mike” Black, two brothers: Paul and Irvin, and six sisters: Ethel, Beulah, Mary, Christine, Caroline and Nancy.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024 at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, Masonic Village, Elizabethtown at 1:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with family from 12:30 PM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
