Marie Carol (Peterson) Jasper, 82, of Hummelstown, formerly of Selinsgrove, went to be her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was born Thursday, April 15, 1943 in Pittsburgh to the late John D. and Maxine B. (Tietz) Peterson. She was predeceased on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 by her loving husband of 51years, Charles Paul Jasper, III.

Together with her beloved husband, she proudly owned and operated Middleburg, Selinsgrove and McClure Pharmacies from 1977 to 2001. Through their work, they served not only customers but neighbors and friends, building lasting relationships within the community.

Her heart for service extended far beyond her business. She volunteered faithfully for 16 years with the Prison Book Project, sharing the gift of reading and hope with those incarcerated. She also dedicated her time to volunteering at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, offering comfort and kindness to patients and families.

A devoted member of New Beginnings Church, she served and worshiped faithfully, drawing strength and purpose from her deep love for Jesus. Her faith was the foundation of her life; she loved the Lord wholeheartedly and lived each day in His light, reflecting grace, compassion, and unwavering hope.

Above all, she treasured her family. As a loving wife, nurturing mother, and proud grandmother, she created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and steadfast love. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the faith she shared, and the family she adored. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and enduring devotion to God and others.

She is survived by three daughters, Kimberly Nesbitt of Hummelstown, Karen Gelnett and husband David of McAlisterville, and Gwendolyn Reichenbach and husband Jeffrey of Selinsgrove; four grandchildren, David Nesbitt, Nicholas Nesbitt, Katrina (Gelnett) Myers and husband Jordan, and Breeana Streeter; two step grandchildren, Emily (Reichenbach) Muncer and husband Matt, and Karissa Masters; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Pollock and husband Frank of Selinsgrove. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, William Nesbitt.

Private burial will take place in Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Selinsgrove. Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 has been entrusted with the arrangements.
