Maria Murphy

Maria Murphy, 101, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Friday September 4, 2026. Born in Kirchberg, Germany on June 4, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Maria (Dankesreiter) Kronschnabl. She was the loving wife of Joseph Leo Murphy, who passed away December 23, 1999.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and gardening. Above all she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt.

Maria is survived by her daughters, Linda C. Schiraldi-MacIntyre, wife of Robert, and Jo Ann M. Brown, wife of Joseph; grandchildren, Katherine A. Smith, wife of Matthew, Joseph Brown, II, and Hannah Brown; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings.
