Margaret P. Methlie  - Elizabethtown, PA formerly of Crystal Lake, IL

Born: 11/30/1936 in Madison, WI Died: January 26, 2015 in Elizabethtown, PA

She was born on 11/30/1936 in Madison, WI to Earl and Louise Roberts.  She graduated from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL.

She married Leonard G. Carlson on June 15, 1958 in Woodstock, IL.  They had three children.  She then married David P. Methlie in 1972 in Crystal Lake, IL. She worked in the Woodstock School district as a Speech Therapist for many years. Maggie was an active member of the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce and of the community working in real estate and her own marketing business.

They retired to Mt. Joy, PA to be with family.  She carried her passion for community service by working as the Executive Director at the Mount Joy Chamber and the Milanof-Schock Library.  She enjoyed being involved in her guilds and surrounded herself with great friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, a brother Michael and husband David P. Methlie.  Survivors include her brother Jack Roberts of Dana Point, CA; three loving children, Leonard G. (Jaime Marsh) Carlson, Jr., Suzanne (Todd) Tonyan, and David (Gretchen) Carlson; cherished grandmother to Michelle L. (Phil) Schafer, Vanessa M. Knicker and Kayla S. Tonyan.

A memorial service will be held on January 31, 2015 at 11:00 am at the  Sell Chapel of the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, PA.  Plans for a Crystal Lake, IL memorial service will be forthcoming.
