Margaret E. Haines
March 23, 1924 — October 5, 2022
Margaret E. Haines, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the age of 98. Born March 23, 1924 in Rheems, PA. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Jennie (Garman) Haines. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her sister Verna (Haines) Bernard and brother Ralph Haines.
After graduating from Hershey High School in 1941 Margaret furthered her education at Elizabethtown College where she gained her B.S degree then proceeded to finish her education at Temple University graduating in 1964 with a M.S. She spent her working career as an elementary school teacher.
She is survived by her nieces Nancy Curtis and Terri Haines, nephews James Bernard and his wife Kathy, Dennis Haines and great nephew Mark Curtis and his wife Jackie.
A private graveside service will be held at Shenk’s Community Church Cemetery, Monday October 10, 2022 at 1pm.
