Margaret M. (Malone) Balmer

Margaret M. (Malone) Balmer, 96, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Masonic Village.  She was born Monday, August 18, 1919 in Delta, PA to the late John C. and Jane Mary (Ruff) Malone.  She was married to William D. Balmer for nearly 60 years.  Mr. Balmer died September 7, 2004.

Mrs. Balmer graduated in 1940 from what is now Millersville University.  She was an elementary school teacher for 28 years in the Elizabethtown School District.

She will be lovingly missed by a daughter, Mary Catherine McSherry and husband Robert, of Bel Air, Maryland and a son, John C. Balmer and his partner Kate Dolan of Mount Gretna.

A private graveside service will be in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022.
