Mamie Elizabethtown “Libby” (Salmon) Bross-Russell

Mamie Elizabeth “Libby” (Salmon) Bross-Russell, 83, of Palmyra, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Twin Oaks Nursing Home.  She was born on June 23, 1932 in Suffolk, VA to the late Thomas L. and Elizabeth L. (Liggons) Salmon.

After moving to Hershey in 1950, she worked at the Hershey Cocoa Inn until it’s closing.  She was then transferred to Hershey Entertainment and Resort where she worked for over 42 years until her retirement.

She was married to Henry G. Bross for 25 years until his death in 1979.  In 1995, she married Walton Russell who passed away in 2003.

Libby was a very good bowler and enjoyed bowling at the Palmyra bowling alley where she won many trophies for her high average.  She also loved her two dogs and beautiful flowers.

She is survived by a sister, Margaret Sherrick, of Hershey; a nephew, Stephen F. Coletti and wife, Lorraine and their children, Elizabeth and Sophia, of Houston Texas.

There will be no viewing or services.  Private burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA  17078, 717-838-9211.
