Mabel J. (Wannamaker) Herr
June 30, 1917 — June 8, 2013
Mabel J. Herr, 95, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Rheems Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Dauphin County, she was the daughter of the late Delanson and Leah (Miller) Wanamaker. She was the wife of Kenneth S. Herr who died in 1992.
Mabel was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Elizabethtown. A 1936 graduate of Elizabethtown High School, she had been employed at the former J.B. Athletic Shoe Co., Elizabethtown.
Mabel is survived by a son, Kenneth E. Herr and his wife Linda of Elizabethtown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters: Laura Helsley, Stella Yingst, Ruth Heck and Naomi Wanamaker; and two brothers: Ralph and John Wanamaker.
Relatives and friends are invited to dress casual and attend the Funeral Service on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
