Mabel Caroline (Landis) Eckman

Mabel Caroline (Landis) Eckman, 99, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Conestoga View, Lancaster.  Born Friday, July 27, 1917 in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Clayton B. Landis and Cora Keeports Barr.  She was the wife of Chester H. Eckman, Sr.  Chester passed away on August 6, 1988.

Mabel was a lifetime member and the oldest surviving member of Zion’s United Church of Christ, Marietta.

She was preceded in death by a son, Chester H. Eckman, Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:15 AM on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Zion’s United Church of Christ, 3 Waterford Avenue, Marietta, PA  17547 with Pastor Rocky Riedel officiating.  There will be no viewing or visitation.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Smedley-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 29 N. Gay St., Marietta, PA 17547, 717-426-3614.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mabel’s honor to Zion’s United Church of Christ at the address listed above.
