Mabel L. (Finefrock) Beck

Mabel L. (Finefrock) Beck, 89, formerly of Neffsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2020, at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born Wednesday, April 8, 1931, in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Anna Mae (Kretchmer) Finefrock. She was married to Robert L. Beck. Robert died on July 4, 2013.
Mabel was a graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School, Lancaster. She retired from the school district of Lancaster where she worked for a number of years as a library assistant. She was the last of the original elementary library assistants to retire.
She was a member of the American Brittany Club, Humane League of Lancaster County, School District Retirees and the Neffsville Fire Department. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels of Lancaster.
Mabel is survived by a son, Carl B. Waltz, Jr., married to Nancy, of Millersville. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey A. Waltz and a brother, Carl W. Finefrock.
Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family in Fairview Cemetery, Wrightsville, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, 717-367-1543.
