Lorraine T. (Basso) Walsh

Lorraine T. (Basso) Walsh, 68, of Palmyra, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.  She was born Saturday, July 19, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Emmet J. and Jean A. (Maiuro) Basso.  She was married to Robert A. Walsh on May 1, 1976.

Lorraine worked as a bartender at Gary’s Bar, Palmyra as well as the Hershey VFW.  She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and watching SpongeBob SquarePants.  Above all, she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

In addition to her husband, she will be lovingly missed by three children: Michele L. Rich, of Palmrya; Robert E. Walsh and wife Stacey, of Palmyra; Peter J. Walsh and wife Sarah, of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren: Jason, Kayla, Gavin, Adryana and Conner; three great grandchildren: Jason, Jr., Trinity and Aiden as well as Lorraine’s extended family and caring friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 4th, 2015 at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 with Father James F. Podlesny, O.S.B. officiating.  Private burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra.  Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to view at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
