Lori Sue (Stambaugh) Rizk

Lori Sue (Stambaugh) Rizk, 45, of Middletown, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the Harrisburg Hospital.  She was born Saturday, June 1, 1968 in Sewickley, PA to Mark R. Stambaugh, Sr. and wife Rae E. (Bousum) Stambaugh of Middletown.

Lori was a graduate of Middletown Area High School.  She earned a degree in international finance from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and was a manager in human resources for United Parcel Service.  She took great pride in being a parent and great joy in being active in the lives of and spending time with her beloved daughters.

Lori was a prodigious reader, an accomplished musician and attracted others with an infectious laugh and razor sharp sense of humor.  She was a supporter of her daughters’ participation in Middletown High School Band as she had performed with the same band during her high school years.  Lori was an organ donor and she encourages everyone to sign a donor card.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two loving daughters, Kyra M. and Serena M. Rizk of Middletown; two brothers, Mark R. Stambaugh, Jr. and wife Emelia, and Scott A. Stambaugh and wife Audrey of Brunswick, GA; four nieces, Lydia, Nicole, Jaclyn, and Christina Stambaugh of Brunswick, GA.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 19th at Noon at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 with Pastor Sipe officiating.  Burial will follow in Hershey Cemetery, Hershey.  Family and friends are invited for visitation from 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
