Loren W. Leverentz

Loren Leverentz, 66, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at Masonic Village Hospice. Born on May 18, 1958, in Harrisburg, Loren was the son of the late John and Shirley (Cooper) Leverentz.

Loren was a 1976 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School. Over the years Loren worked as a manager for several companies before ultimately retiring from the Elizabethtown Area School District in 2023. His warm spirit and dedication to his work left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Loren's life was centered around his family, whom he adored. He shared 37 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Kim (Geib) Leverentz. Together, they raised four children: Amy (Nathan) Ginder, Katilyn Leverentz, Sarah (Nicholas) Hopwood, and Nicholas Leverentz (Kamyrn Bowman, fiancé). Loren was also a devoted grandfather to Connor Ginder, Carly Ginder, and Elliot Hopwood, whose laughter and energy brought him immense joy.

He is also survived by his siblings, Deborah Leverentz, John Leverentz Jr., and Laura (John) Fix, as well as many other loving family members who will forever cherish his memory. Loren found happiness in the simple pleasures of life: spending time with loved ones, enjoying the tranquility of the beach, tending to his yard, and cheering on his children in their pursuits.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, January 16th at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 from 5:00-7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17th, also at the funeral home, at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.

In honor of the generosity and the exceptional care he received, memorial contributions may be made to Masonic Village Hospice. Additionally, those wishing to celebrate Loren’s legacy may consider donating to Donate Life America, to support others in need of organ transplants.

Loren will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
