Lois E. Thompson

Lois E. (Powers) Thompson, 101, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 with family by her side at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. She was born Monday, November 22, 1920 to the late Maurice D. and Alice R. (Fry) Powers. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Robert E. Thompson.
Lois enjoyed volunteering her time helping at the thrift shop at the Londonderry Village as well as playing pinochle and reading in her spare time. More than anything she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter: Eileen Eckert and husband Terry; grandchildren, Tabitha Borges and Tamara Silsky; and great grandchildren, Shelby Silsky, Curtis Silsky, Emily Hinkle, Charlie Hinkle, Autumn Borges, Camille Borges, and Hope Borges. She is predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 11 AM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. A time of viewing will be held from 10AM until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Palmyra United Zion Church, 1000 E. Oak St., Palmyra, PA 17078.
