Linwood “Woody” David Walters, 61, of Bainbridge, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 30, 2015 in Cameron County, PA while deer hunting. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late David Linwood and Ida (Sprout) Walters. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Cindy L. (Park) Walters, who will miss him dearly.

Woody was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. His hunting cabin in Cameron County was his second home. He passed away doing what he loved the most, in the place he loved the most. He was the president of the Conoy Township Zoning Board, and a board member for Wykoff Run Camper’s Association. Woody loved his family. His granddaughters Harper (Beebop) and Dylan (Dylie) were his world including his granddog, Roxy.

His family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the many wonderful friends, family members, neighbors, and agencies that helped in the search to find him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Jennifer L. Walters of Charlotte, NC, son David W. Walters, husband of Brooke of Elizabethtown, two granddaughters, Harper and Dylan Walters, and sister Donna Longenecker.

A Viewing will be held on from 4-8PM on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.  His family requests that friends and family “come as you are.” Dress is casual, and camo is accepted and encouraged.

A gathering will be held from 1-5PM on Saturday December 12th,   2015 at the VFW Post # 5667, 126 Maytown Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.  To reflect and raise a glass to Woody.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
