Linda M. (Fach) Walker

July 28, 1948 — December 12, 2022

Linda M. (Fach) Walker, 74, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2022, at UPMC Harrisburg.  Born Wednesday, July 28, 1948, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late John H. Fach Sr. and Dorothy L. (Jackson) Fach.  She was married to Charles D. Walker Sr. until his death on April 11, 2015.

While attending high school, Linda also attended Beauty School as well as graduated from a Cake Decorating Class.  She enjoyed quilting, various crafts, playing Bingo and knitting, even knitting up to two days before she passed away.  She also enjoyed going to the casino, playing a variety of games on her iPad, and visiting Little Buffalo State Park, Pinchot State Park and Knoebels Grove.  Linda’s focus in life was her family and spending time with them.  She loved family gatherings, family game nights, especially when playing Mexican Train Dominoes and with her knowledge of cakes, baking all sorts of cakes for her family.  Above all, Linda will be remembered for her love of the beach, flip-flops, flip-flop shirts, flip-flop accessories, all things flip-flop and also bears.  She loved collecting pictures of bears, bear t-shirts and also collecting bear figurines.

She is survived by three daughters: Kaye Lynn Witman, engaged to Thomas Meise, of Middletown, Sarah J. Hefflefinger and her significant other, Ed, of Hummelstown, and Ann M. Bixby, married to Allan, of Grantville.  Also surviving are five grandchildren: Brent Oren, Tyler Bixby, engaged to Mike Mumma, Robert Hefflefinger Jr., Shea Hanshaw, married to Colin, Brooklyn Bixby and her significant other, Zech Rhoads; three great-grandchildren: Austyn Mumma, Landyn Rhoads, and Blaine Mumma; three siblings: Carol S. Raudensky and her significant other, Jim, of Duncannon, Wayne D. Fach, married to Genie, of Great Falls, SC, and Dixie E. Hoover, of Middletown, as well as Linda’s extended family and caring friends.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four siblings: Debbie L. Fach, John H. Fach Jr., Lynn E. “Skip” Fach, and William L. Fach.

A Celebration of Linda’s Life will begin promptly at 1 PM on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Highspire First Church of God, 115 2nd Street, Highspire, PA  17034 with Pastor Dave Anderson officiating.  Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Fager-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 208 North Union Street, Middletown, PA  17057, 717-944-7413.
