Linda A. Sheddy

Linda A. Sheddy, 84, of Palmyra passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

Born June 16, 1941 in Hershey, she was the oldest daughter of the late Clemence W. and Clara (Terry) Cassel. Linda was the wife of J. David Sheddy for 62 years. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Linda was a graduate of Palmyra High School class of 1959. She worked as a bookkeeper for Cassel Brothers Dodge in Palmyra prior to marriage and motherhood. She returned to the workforce as an insurance agent for Bowman's Insurance Agency in Palmyra and later Keckler Heitefus Brandt (KHB) in Hershey prior to retirement in late 2004. She was a member of Palmyra First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed the antique auto hobby with membership in the Antique Automobile Club of America and the Hershey Region.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, David, along with their children, John D. Sheddy and Holly L. Caudill along with grandchildren, Aidan N. Caudill (Savannah), Madison R. Caudill and Ryan M. Caudill (Sabrina) and two great grandchildren, Delilah and Dash. Also survived by sisters, Suellen K. Light and Lucinda F. March (Wayne) and nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand nephews. She will be greatly missed by her grand-puppies, Magnum, Valkyrie, Athena and Zeus who know her not only as grandma but as the treat lady. She will be greeted in heaven by the many grand-puppies that have gone before her.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 11AM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. Interment will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra, PA 17078. Family and friends are invited to view from 10AM until the time of service. An additional viewing will be held Monday, October 13, 2025 from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
