Linda C. Mentzer

Linda Carol Mentzer passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025, at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, PA at the age of 81. Before moving to Masonic Village, Linda resided in Ormond Beach, FL, and Harrisburg, PA.
Born on October 30, 1944, to Mildred Downey Mentzer and Edgar Mentzer, Linda was a lifelong learner and dedicated educator. Linda graduated from John Harris High School in Harrisburg, PA. She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education, an M.Ed., and her Principal’s Certification, and taught in the Central Dauphin School District.
Linda was a lifelong member of the Paxton Presbyterian Church and an auxiliary member of the Derry Presbyterian Church in Hershey.
Linda will be lovingly remembered by her niece, Tara Leister and husband Craig Leister; her nephew, Ed Mentzer and wife Cecelia Ash; her grand nieces, Ashley and Abbey Leister; Alexis Mentzer; and her grand nephew, Prestyn Mentzer; her sister-in-law, Darla Mentzer; and her “sister-at heart”, Lilia Schneider.
A memorial service celebrating Linda’s life will be held on Thursday, November 20 at 11:00am at Derry Presbyterian Church, 248 E Derry Rd, Hershey, PA 17033. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Derry Presbyterian Church in Hershey, PA at www.DerryPres.org
