Linda M. Edleman, 70, of Hummelstown, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at M.S. Hershey Medical Center, surrounded by her children and daughter-in-law. Born in Pottstown, PA, on August 4, 1956, she was a daughter of the late William L. and Joan M. (Becker) Royce.
Linda enjoyed playing poker and bingo, reading, and spending time gardening. Despite an unfortunate accident at the age of 18 that caused her to live the remainder of her life in a wheelchair, she did not let it define her. She raised three children and volunteered a great deal of her time supporting others. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree and ultimately a Master of Social Work, which led her to a career supporting veterans. Linda leaves behind a lasting legacy through the gift of organ donation. She donated a portion of her liver to someone in need, giving another person the opportunity for a renewed life.
Later in life, she was especially active and involved with the Hershey Leader Center. Linda lived a phenomenal life. Above all else, she was a loving Nana, great-Nana, sister, and friend.
She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Rodriguez, wife of Paul, and Heather Edleman; a son, John Edleman, husband of Ashley; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a brother, Michael Royce, husband of Sue. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Rick Royce and William Royce; and her sister, Kimberly Bill.
A memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 11 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey, PA 17033. Visitation with friends and family will begin at 10 a.m. Final services are private at the convenience of the family.
