LeRoy "Tony" Anthony Reale

LeRoy A. Reale, 87, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Born July 8, 1939, in Pittsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Wagner) Reale. He was a 1957 graduate of the Milton S. Hershey School and attended Hershey Jr. College and jointed the Merchant Marines.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Susan (Breidenthal) Reale, who passed away in 2022, and by his sons R. Scott and Nicholas “Nick” Reale.

Tony is survived by his daughter, Kelley Nahodil and husband George, of Palmyra; son, Chris Reale and wife Melissa, of New York; five grandsons, Ryan Nahodil and wife Ashley, of Annville, Joshua Nahodil, of Palmyra, and Julian, Sebastian, and Adrian Reale, of New York; and two great-granddaughters, Isabell and Sophia Nahodil, of Annville.

Tony raised his family in Levittown, PA, before returning to the area in 1988. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and a loyal friend to many.

Coaching and mentoring young athletes were one of the great passions of his life. He continued giving his time and experience to young people well into his later years, including helping to coach Bishop McDevitt’s High School wrestling team as recently as 2019. Through is encouragement, guidance, and steady presence, he made a lasting difference in the lives of many athletes and families.

Above all Tony treasured time spent with his grandchildren and great granddaughters, who were the light of his life. He was a loyal friend and enjoyed time with his “brothers” from the Milton Hershey School. He believed deeply in helping others and volunteered within his community, especially during the last several years.

A time of gathering to celebrate Tony’s life will be held on Saturday, August 1st, 2026 from noon to 2 pm at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Midwest Food Bank, 2700 Commerce Dr., Middletown, PA 17057.

Tony will be remembered for his loyalty, generosity, strength, and the love he gave so freely. His influence will live on through his family, the athletes he mentored, and the many people whose lives were made better knowing him.
