Leroy O. Snoke

Leroy O. Snoke, 93, of Palmyra, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Hershey Medical Center.  Born Thursday, February 23, 1928, in Pillow, PA, he was the son of the late Nathaniel and Emma (Maurer) Snoke.  He was married to Valeria A. (Brubaker) Snoke for over 62 years until her death on June 16, 2010.

A Veteran of WWII, Leroy proudly served with the U.S. Army Air Corps.  He retired from the Mechanicsburg Navy Depot (formerly Olmsted Air Force Base) after 35 years of service.

An avid golfer, Leroy and his wife were also members of Palmyra Church of the Brethren.  Above all, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by a daughter, Bonnie J. Koehler, married to Roger, of Myerstown.  Also surviving are two grandchildren: Nicole Long, married to Michael, of Fredericksburg, PA, Abigal Alam, married to Raj, of Glen Burnie, MD; four great grandchildren: Gavin Long, Keara Long, Ameena Alam and Amir Alam, as well as Leroy’s extended family and caring friends.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Ronald Snoke.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Private interment will take place in Spring Creek Cemetery, Hershey, with military honors.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA  17078, 717-838-9211.
