Leonard Joseph Sodrosky, 70, of Bainbridge, passed away at home on October 19 2017. He was born May 15, 1947 in Kingston, PA to the late Joseph Leonard and Margaret (Powitchko) Sodrosky.
He is survived by 2 sons, Leonard M. Sodrosky and wife Michele and Douglas Sodrosky; 2 grandchildren, Allyson and Benjamin Sodrosky; and 2 sisters, Margaret Stelevich and husband Wes and Jean Van Scoy.
Following graduation from Wyoming Valley West High School in Kingston, Leonard attended Bloomsburg University before enlisting in the United States Army and honorably served during Vietnam. He retired from the Pennsylvania State Police, where he was assigned to the Governor’s detail. Leonard was an active member of the Middletown American Legion Post 594. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and photography. Most of all he was a loving father, grandfather, and brother.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Fager-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 208 N. Union St., Middletown, PA 17057 with Pennsylvania State Police Chaplain Rev. Dr Howard Woodruff officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 10 AM until time of the service. Burial with full military honors will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Middletown American Legion Post 594, 137 E. High St., Middletown 17057.
