Larry G. Snyder

Larry G. Snyder, 78, of Elizabethtown, entered the presence of his Savior on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Manor Care, Elizabethtown following a prolonged illness.  He was born August 27, 1937 in Elizabethtown to the late Raymond S. Snyder and Margie (Goodman) Snavely.

Larry was a graduate of Elizabethtown High School, served proudly in the U.S. Air Force at Sampson AFB in New York and later at Hill Field in Colorado.  He was a long time employee of New Holland Farm Machinery serving in their tax department and later was employed by Manheim Auto Auction.  He served for many years as treasurer of Mt. Calvary Church in Elizabethtown and was most recently a member of the Lakeview Bible Church in Manheim.  He was an active supporter of foreign missions and a godly example to all who knew him.  He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his generosity and his love for God and his family.

Larry was a loving husband to his wife of 59 years, V. Marie (Boring) Snyder and together they reared five children: Deb, wife of Brad DeGroft, of Elizabethtown; Larry, husband of Jill (Mantz) Snyder, of Elizabethtown; James, husband of Pamela (Buck) Snyder, of Spring Glen; Dianna, wife of Mitchell Moyer, of Dallas, Georgia and Donna, wife of Dan Morris, of Marietta, Ohio.  Also surviving are 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and four sisters, Arlene Zerphy, Louise Marshall, Hazel White and Geraldine Hughes.  He was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Jena Snyder; two brothers, Raymond and Dale Snyder and a sister, Dolly Collins.

Closed casket visitation will be held from 6-8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA  17022.  Memorial Services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Lake View Bible Church, 383 Lake View Drive, Manheim, PA  17545 with another time of visitation from 11 AM until the time of the service on Thursday.  Private Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Mount Ober Cemetery, Elizabethtown with full military honors.
