Larry K. Shick

Larry K. Shick, 84, of Palmyra, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Born in Leechburg, he was the son of the late William “Bill” and Dorothy (Knell) Shick, and devoted husband of 55 years to Cathellen “Cathy” (Tebo) Shick.

Larry lived a life defined by curiosity, service, and adventure. A proud U.S. Army veteran, he served in Korea as both a mechanic and quartermaster. Following his service, Larry built a long and accomplished career as a chemist with Bell Labs, and later as a small business owner of Paint Plus, where he enjoyed connecting with his community.

He was a man of many interests, from collecting stamps, coins, and gold samples to building intricate model railroads. Above all, Larry cherished traveling the country with Cathy in their RV, creating memories on the open road and finding joy in exploring new places together along with their beloved dog Dixie. He also gave back to his community through his involvement with the Lion’s Club of Cumru Township.

Larry will be deeply missed by his wife, Cathy; his children, Laura Judd and Randy Shick; his granddaughter, Kendalyn Judd; and his brother, Richard Shick (Ann).

Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
