L. John Fasnacht, Jr., 78, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024 to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born on February 5, 1946 to the late Lloyd and Kathleen (Garverich) Fasnacht.
John graduated from Palymra High School in 1964 and Lebanon Valley College in 1969. He furthered his academic career by obtaining a master's degree in education. He then spent his working career as a teacher and football coach at Middletown Area High School, where he retired after 31 years. His hobbies included woodworking, playing golf, hunting, and traveling. He loved reading, especially books about history. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his best dog buddies, Maggie and Oliver. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed taking drives in his 1974 Corvette. He was an honorable man who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Elizabeth “Betsy” (Dissinger) Fasnacht; a son, Matthew Fasnacht and wife Denise; three grandchildren, David, Daniel and Rebecca Fasnacht. He was predeceased by a son, Chad Fasnacht.
Family and friends are invited for viewing on Monday, July 22nd from 11 to 12 PM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078. Burial will be private per family request.
