Kenneth R. Greenly

Kenneth R. Greenly Sr., 85, of Elizabethtown, peacefully entered into eternal life on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at his home at Masonic Village. Born in Landisville, he was the son of the late Ralph and Carrie Greenly.

Kenneth spent his career working for Baum’s Bologna, Grubbs Supply Company, and, lastly, Carlos R. Leffler Inc. He loved his work and had many stories to tell about his proud years as a fuel truck driver. An active and devoted member of St. Paul's Church for over 60 years, he faithfully served his congregation as an usher and sang beautifully in the church choir.

Kenneth found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved going for long drives, singing, exercising, and visiting with friends at the gym, and spending time with his family. Known for his generous spirit, he was a dependable friend who never hesitated to offer a helping hand—or a ride—to anyone needing assistance with an appointment.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Amelia Greenly, with whom he is now peacefully reunited. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Rimert (husband of Romaine Rimert); and three sisters, Dawn Watts (wife of Charlie Watts), Lorraine Rimert, and June Althoff (wife of Harry Althoff).

He leaves behind a rich legacy of love through his surviving children: two sons, Kenneth Greenly Jr. of Maytown and Randall Greenly (husband of Becky) of Elizabethtown; and two daughters, Cynthia DeWire (wife of Allen) and Melissa Miller (wife of Michael), both of Elizabethtown. He is also survived by several cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild and a community of friends who will miss him dearly.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 11AM at St. Paul’s United Methodist church, 398 N. Locust St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Interment will follow in Milton Grove Cemetery, Elizabethtown, PA. Family and friends are invited to view from 10AM until the start of the service.
