Kenneth F. Beane, Sr.

Kenneth F. Beane, Sr., 99, of Elizabethtown passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2026 at the Masonic Village. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Paul E. Beane, Sr. and Viola F. (Fisher) Beane. He was the loving husband of Doris H. “Dorie” (Shinham) Beane.

Ken was a 1944 graduate of Paradise High School, Paradise, PA. He attended Virginia Military Institute and was a proud Army veteran. Ken also attended Lancaster Business School then working for the Remington Rand Univac, Commonwealth of PA, and Grit Publishing. Ken was an avid hunter and trap shooter, belonging to several hunting and shooting clubs. He was a member of lodge #629 Harrisburg-Snyder F&AM. Former boy scout troop leader. Ken loved participating in the Lancaster County Senior Games, into his late 90’s, earning gold and silver medals. He was member of Sell Chapel, Masonic Village.

In addition to his wife, Ken is survived by his three children, Kenneth Beane, Jr. (Cynthia), Susan Kelley (Chris), and Beverly Biddle (Andrew); four grandchildren, Heather, Christopher, Megan, and Sarah; one step-grandchild; eight great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Hannah, Faith, Riley, Elizabeth, Jacob, Brent and Sam; three step-great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Lane, and Campbell; two sisters, Nancy Toro (Richard), and Mariane Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 60 years, Ruth (Dull) Beane); and two brothers, Paul Beane, Jr. and George Beane; along with his parents.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 11:30AM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA 17003.
