Kathleen "Kathy" W. (Walker) Burkholder

Kathleen W. “Kathy” (Walker) Burkholder, 71, of Thompsontown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin, PA.  Born Wednesday, June 28, 1950, in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Martha (Young) Walker.  She was married to Ernest D. Burkholder for nearly 49 years until his death on Thursday, September 26, 2019.

A homemaker for most of her life, in her earlier years, Kathy was the owner/operator of the former Kathy’s Café, Thompsontown.

She is survived by two sons: James Burkholder, married to Nicki, of Thompsontown, PA and Daniel Burkholder.  Also surviving are granddaughter, Samantha Blackistone; four siblings: Mike Walker, Ronnie Walker, Hope Lambert, Donna Walker, as well as Kathy’s extended family and caring friends.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 3 siblings.
