Katharine J. Hitz

Katharine J. Hitz, 56, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully at Manor Care, Elizabethtown, on Thursday, February 5, 2015. She was born June 6, 1958 in Elizabethtown to the late Elmer E. and Emma (Landis) Hitz.
Katharine worked as a Claims Representative for Donegal Insurance Agency, Marietta, PA for over 20 years. Katharine had an affinity for animals, especially cats and chickens. She will also be remembered for collecting rooster memorabilia and her love of flowers.
She will be lovingly missed by a sister, Anna M. Hitz; four brothers, Elvin E. Hitz, and wife Donna, Galen D. Hitz, and wife Linda, Jacob L. Hitz, and wife Nancy and John A. Hitz, and wife Doreen; her longtime and loving companion, Wayne S. Mumma Sr., all of Elizabethtown as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and caring friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 11 AM at Bright Hope Fellowship Church, 345 North Deodate Road, Middletown, PA with Pastor Andrew Hawes officiating. Burial will follow in Shenk's Community Cemetery, Elizabethtown. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 10 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday. Arrangments have been entrusted to the Miller-Sekely Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
