Karl Walter Stabler, 67, of Annville, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Monday, April 21, 2025. He was born on May 25, 1957 to the late Henry “Joe” and Doris (Price) Stabler. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Ethel (Levengood) Stabler.
Karl lived a life full of love, laughter, and showing up for the people he cared about. He adored his granddaughters and cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was playing, watching them perform, or just being together.
He never missed a chance to support his family—whether it was a soccer game, cheer competition, graduation, gymnastics meet, or dance recital, Karl was there, front and center. Of course, that kind of dedication sometimes meant leaving late and sitting in traffic on the way to the beach—something he grumbled about, but never once let stop him.
Karl was a lifelong Penn State football fan, a loyal Liverpool FC supporter, and an all-around sports enthusiast. He loved catching a game, whether on TV or in the stands. Karl's passion for soccer ran deep, playing in leagues well into his 50s. But more than anything, Karl looked forward to beach vacations with his family. Those trips brought him the greatest joy.
Karl was incredibly selfless, the kind of person everyone could count on. Need a room painted, a floor installed, a deck built, or something fixed? He was there, no questions asked. Always generous with his time, always ready to lend a hand, and never looking for anything in return.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Karl Josef Stabler and wife Juliet and Elizabeth Ulm and husband Nathan; grandchildren, Cecilia Stabler and Magnolia Ulm; and sister Rose O’Donnell and husband William. He is predeceased by his brother Steven Stabler.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 11 AM at Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Reverend Carl Rabbe officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 10 AM until the start of the service. Burial will follow the service at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon.
