Karin Inger Hanson, 77, formerly of Elizabethtown and Intercourse, PA, entered Heaven’s glorious gates on Monday, November 12, 2012, surrounded by her family. Born in Lomma, Sweden, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Anna Ohlsson. She was the wife of the late Per-Ivan Hansson who died in 1976, whom she lovingly missed and cherished. Inger was a homemaker and later was the owner of Lill-Boden Specialty
Shop from 1976-2011. She had many fond memories from this time, especially at her shop in Kitchen Kettle Village. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Elizabethtown, where
she involved herself in many church activities. She loved to cook, entertain and play games with her friends, garden, and live life with her family.
She will be lovingly missed by her sister Kerstin Bergstrom and
brother Lasse Ohlsson, both of Sweden; two sisters-in-law, Karin
Hansson of Canada, and Irene Johannsson of Sweden; her daughter Christina Ahlseen, wife of Jeff Ahlseen, her son Christer Hansson, her daughter-in-law Christine Hansson, and eight grandchildren: Ingelis, Lisabet, Andrew, Anika, Linnea, Emily, Erik, and Maggie.
Service and Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Inger’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all
her physicians, nurses and other health care workers that cared for her over the past 15 years, especially over the past month at Lancaster General Hospital. The compassionate care was the best gift and will always be remembered.
