June A. (Miller) Heigel

June A. Miller Heigel of Elizabethtown went home to be with Jesus on October 13, 2014 at Longwood Manor, Maytown, PA. Born in Mount Holly Springs, Cumberland County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alcesta Miller. She was the wife of Robert L. Heigel, Jr.. She retired from the Elizabethtown College Food Service Department.

She was a member of Word of Life Chapel. She enjoyed going to the Flower Club and Christian Women’s Club. June was known for her love of baking, cooking, and gardening and for her servant’s heart.

She is survived by a son, Keith L. husband of Marcia Aungst Heigel of Maytown; a daughter, Sandra L. Heigel of Elizabethtown; 2 grandchildren, Josiah K. married to Heather Nero Heigel of Mount Joy and Alicia N. married to Brett Etter of North Carolina; and 3 sisters, Dorothy Franklin of California, Grace married to Albert Rhen, and Martha Dixon both of Elizabethtown. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Merle, John, and Paul Miller; and 3 sisters, Mildred Good, Gail Shoemaker, and Helen Miller.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 19th at 4 PM at Word of Life Chapel, 139 Wickersham Rd., Bainbridge 17502 with Pastor Mark Habecker officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 3 PM until time of the service. Burial will follow in Good’s Mennonite Cemetery, Elizabethtown. Arrangements have been entrusted to Miller-Sekely Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown 17022.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made is her honor to Word of Life Chapel Pass the Blessing-Building Fund.
