Julian A. Richter, 71, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Masonic Village after a battle with cancer. He was the husband of Cynthia (Lewis) Richter for 47 years.

Julian graduated from Central High School in Philadelphia and earned a B.A. in Journalism at Temple University. He moved to Elizabethtown to become a journalist for the Elizabethtown Chronicle and later transitioned to public relations. He and his family moved to Germany to serve at Black Forest Academy (BFA) for 11 years. While there he was instrumental in leading a major fundraising campaign to add a gym, auditorium, and cafeteria to the school. He completed his career in church and mission support roles.

He avidly pursued community service, volunteering as a fire fighter, EMT, and paramedic in Elizabethtown, later serving on the board of Northwest EMS. He was also active in the Central PA chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, passing on many family traditions and stories. He is survived by a son, Joel, husband of Megan Richter, Basel, Switzerland and four grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, January 27 at 11 a.m. at Hope Community Church, 1806 Harrisburg Ave., Mount Joy, PA.
