Joyce M. (Cole) Altemara

Joyce M. (Cole) Altemara “Our Queen”, 94, of Highspire, passed away peacefully at home in Highspire, with family by her side on Saturday, May 11, 2024. She was born on Monday, April 7, 1930 and is predeceased by her loving husband Theodore “Teddy” Altemara.

Joyce was a very loving and kind person. Her family was her greatest treasure. She was a “shopper” of all times, an avid reader, she loved yardsales, and watching Netflix. She has done so many things in her long life, it could not be put on paper. Our family is grateful to have had mom in our lives.

She is survived by her children: Janice Aichner and husband Timothy, Robert Patterson Snyder, III, and Patti Hummel and husband Jeffrey; grandchildren, Billy, Barry, Jodi, Tammi, Kelli, Dan, Bobby, Duke, Alisha, James, Jaime, Amanda, and Lacy; great grandchildren, Billy, Jr., Shane, Jesse, Stephanie, Cameron, Kennedi, Carleigh, Mattilynn, Alfred “D”, Brittany, Brody, Colton, Tyler, Clayton, Zoey, Gavin, Hailey, Liam, Harper, Jayden; and great great grandchildren; McKenna, Jaxson, Parker, Brynn, Emma, Owen, Elani. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her children: Diane Reigle, Peggy Snyder, Duke Snyder and daughter-in-law, Barbara Ellen.

A time of sharing will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11 AM at the Fager-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 208 N. Union St., Middletown, PA 17057. A time of visitation will be held from 10 AM until the start of sharing. Burial will follow at the Middletown Cemetery, Middletown.
