Joseph Francis O’Toole, 79, of Annville, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was born Friday, March 23, 1934 in Monessen to the late Thomas and Gertrude Catherine (Crow) O’Toole. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Charmayne S. (Zundel).
He served in the US Navy during Korea and worked for Pages Aluminum & Steel Mill for 39 years. He was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan, and loved to cook for family and friends. To know him was to love him and be a friend for life.
He is survived by a son, Alan C. Keefer, Sr. and wife Kimberly of Annville; four daughters, Debra Cassagneres of Jeanette, Virginia C. Kane and husband Michael of Annville, Lynette Castelucci and husband Ralph of McKees Rock, and Heather Murphy and husband Patrick of Exeter, NH; 11 grandchildren, Alan Jr., April and Adam Keefer, Ryan and Megan Baker, Sage Kane, Josie Moppin, Teagan and Colton Murphy, Nicholas and Renee Castelucci; a great granddaughter, Brynn Keefer; a brother, Donald O’Toole; three sisters, Alice Tressler, Gertrud Zoretich, and Patricia Ostetrico. He was predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 28th at 10:00 AM at the Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra 17078. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Thursday, June 27
th
from 6 to 8 PM and from 9 AM until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
