John J. Wert, Sr., 89, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Palmyra, on Friday, November 4, 2016. Born Friday, May 6, 1927, in Muir, PA, Schuylkill County, he was the son of the late Paul and Dora (Reiner) Wert. He was married to Annabell M. (Long) Wert for over 65 years until her death on September 14, 2011.
He will be lovingly missed by a daughter, Linda M. Loughran and husband, Edward, of Hershey as well as a son, John J. Wert, Jr., of Hershey.
Private burial will be at the convenience of the family in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078, 717-838-9211.
