John Thomas Owens

John “Jack” Thomas Owens, 63, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully in his home with family by his side on Thursday, November 15, 2018.   Born Friday, May 20, 1955 to the late William L., Sr. and Margaret A. (Rowley) Owens.  He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Jacqueline M. (Spicer) Owens.

Jack was an avid surf fisher who loved the Chincoteague Island.  He had the ability to make anyone smile.  Jack had a love for the outdoors along with spending time and laughing with family and friends.  Most importantly he loved spending time with his granddaughter.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.  He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Jessica Owens of Palmyra; a granddaughter, Lola Owens of Palmyra; and a brother Kenneth Owens of Hershey.  He is predeceased by his brother William L. “Bumper” Owens, Jr.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 12PM at the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Reverend Samuel Fry officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his honor to any charity of your choice.
