John Paul Dowhower, 52, of Lebanon, passed way surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at his home. He was born Saturday, November 14, 1959 in Lancaster to the late Floyd D. and Merle (Chapman) Dowhower. He is survived by his loving wife Crystal A. (Shirk) Dowhower.
He was an avid hunter with an affinity for the outdoors, and a skilled craftsman in the area of carpentry. He knew what it meant to be a loyal friend and lived his life as a man of honor and integrity. Beyond all, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by a daughter, Chelsea M. and a grandson, Hunter R. that lived at home with him; four brothers, James, Steve, Tom and Ken.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 7 PM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 with Chaplin Rick Martin officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 6 PM until time of the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
