John C. Buckley, Sr.
September 23, 1947 — July 16, 2023
John C. Buckley Sr, 75, of Middletown PA, passed away peacefully at Hampden Hospital in Enola surrounded by family on 7/16/2023. Born in Chester County, he was one of five children of Walter and Milly Buckley. Survived by John (son), Steve (son), and Noah (grandson).
John Graduated from Nether Providence High School class of 1967 before starting his career as a police officer in Washington, D.C. and then for SEPTA in Philadelphia. He was also was a conductor and railroad yard manger in addition to being a hotel manager. John finished out his working years as a truck driver before retiring in 2019.
His passions in life included gardening, fishing, reading, and civil war history.
