Joanne F. (Dohner) Martin

Joanne Faye (Dohner) Martin, 73, of Palmyra, passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the home of her daughter in Lebanon. She was born Monday, January 29, 1940 in Lebanon to the late Clarence and Florence Dohner. She was predeceased by her loving husband Nathaniel G. Martin in 1995.

She had a vibrant zest for life which was reflected in her many travels and friendships. Most of all, she was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by three daughters, Cindy L. Shay and husband Bill, Jr. of Lebanon, Debra A. Williams and husband David of Palmyra, and Tami J. Kohr and husband Michael of Lebanon; a son, Greg C. Hess and wife Tina of Lebanon; eleven grandchildren, Nathan Alleman, William Shay, III, Samantha Shay, Dena Hess, Gregory Hess, Bryan Hess, Bradley Hess, Amanda Poindexter, Melissa Poindexter, Michael Kohr, and Matthew Kohr; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janice Ream of Myerstown, and Mary Jane Pavenski and husband Steven of Myerstown.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 6th at 11 AM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078 with Chaplain Rick Martin officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing on Tuesday, March 5th from 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday from 10 AM until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
