Jo Ann (Baer) Adams

Jo Ann (Baer) Adams, 77, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, surrounded by her loving family at her home in North Londonderry Township.  Born Friday, December 3, 1943, in Allenport (Huntingdon County), PA, she was the daughter of the late Donald H. and Geraldine J. (Horne) Baer.  She was married to James R. Adams on September 12, 1964.

Jo Ann was a 1961 graduate of the former Captain Jack High School (now the Mount Union Area High School), She then went on to attend Robert Morris University, Coraopolis, PA.  Jo Ann retired from Hershey Foods having worked there from 1978 until retiring in 2006.

In addition to her husband of over 57 years, she is survived by two sons: Jon B. Adams, married to Lucy, of Annville and Joseph B. Adams, engaged to Regina M. Crawford, of Palmyra.  Also surviving are a grandson, Clayton J. Adams; a sister, Chris L. Morgan; three nieces: Kimberly Shope, Brooke Alleman and Holly Shope, as well as Jo Ann’s extended family and caring friends.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Wagner.

Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff of Compassionate Care Hospice for their excellent care of Jo Ann and her family.

Private Interment will take place in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA  17078, 717-838-9211.
